Buying kids bedding is an enjoyable experience that most moms enjoy. If you like to decorate its great fun to look at the large variety of styles and envision what your child's bedroom could look like. Those thoughts branch into new paint for the walls, cute wall decorations, it goes on and on.

There are hundreds of patterns and colors available for kids bedding sets. Everything from fanciful unicorns to military tanks. Solid colors, quilted patterns, lace, eyelets, satin, cotton, licensed cartoon characters, literally anything is possible and available. No matter what your child's interest, there is a color and pattern and character available to match it. Actually, there's probably half a dozen just within their main interest catagory. When decorating a child's bedroom my recommendation is to start with the bedding set because once you've picked the theme, you can easily choose the primary color for the walls based on what's in the comforter print. You can either use the dominant color, or go with a less common complementary color. It all depends on your tastes and mood. If your child is old enough to pick it themselves, then having them help in the decision teaches them grown up responsibilities and gives them a sense of control over their personal space.

My first preference is to look at various sets online, as the selection is so much greater. If you find one you like that happens to be in a retail store close by, go look at it in person. See if the thread count is high enough and the colors are accurate to what you saw on the screen. If there isn't one close you can often get free shipping from the online retailer and simply return the set if it doesn't meet your requirements.
